Basic Care

Use a vacuum cleaner to keep your rug looking fresh and dust-free. For spills, a dab of mild soap and water will do the trick—just don’t toss them in the washing machine or use bleach.

Shedding

Safari Collective rugs may shed a bit at first. No worries, though—it’ll settle down over time. If you spot any loose fibers, give them a trim or a gentle tug with tweezers.

Choose Your Spot

Whether on the wall or in a cozy corner, these rugs thrive best in low-traffic areas. Steer clear of shoes and heavy foot traffic—these beauties are made for lounging, not for trampling!

Hanging Instructions

Hang rugs with ease using nails, push pins, or strong Velcro Command Strips for a secure, non-permanent option. For heavier floor rugs, opt for spring clamps from a hardware store, or find decorative options online. Ensure stability by locating wall studs. Google “hanging quilt techniques” for additional alternative solutions.

Not Bathroom Safe

While some rugs frequently feature the ocean or water, they’re not keen on bath time. Keep ’em dry and avoid using them as bath mats.

Staying Fresh

Like any good safari, rugs may pick up a bit of dirt along the way. For a deeper clean, try Bissell Little Green carpet cleaner—perfect for tackling stains and bringing back those vibrant colors.

Commissions

At Safari Collective, I aim to create bespoke rugs as unique as you are! But, if what is in stock isn’t quite what you are looking for I’m still here to help make your vision a reality. Custom orders usually take anywhere from 3 to 8 weeks. Once we've nailed down the design, a 50% non-refundable deposit secures your spot in the queue. The remaining 50% is due when your personalized rug is ready.

Email lesia.gribbin@gmail.com with your ideal size (no larger than 2.5 ft x 4.5 ft), shape, colors, and general design direction. Price will be provided based on the size and complexity of your design.

Shipping and Returns

All Sales Are Final. Safari Collective is committed to bringing you unique treasures, so unfortunately, I can’t do refunds or returns; However, if anything arrives a bit worse for wear, snap some photos and send them to lesia.gribbin@gmail.com. I’ll assess the situation and see if I can exchange an item. I’m all about making things right on a case-by-case basis!

Shipping. All sales include a flat rate shipping cost. If the shipping costs are less than what the flat rate charge is I am happy to venmo you the difference in cost. I’ll also be providing in person delivery services for Brooklyn-locals. Select “Local Delivery” at check out, along with a follow up email and I can arranged a time that’s best for you to collect your treasure.
